There 49e edition of the Deauville American Film Festival (Calvados) will be held from 1er to September 10, 2023. After the cancellation of the appearance of comedians Natalie Portman, Peter Dinklage, Jude Law, Joseph Gordon-Levitt due to the strike in Hollywood, the organizers announced good news this Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
The British actress Emilia Clarke will be present at the festival to receive the New Hollywood AwardSunday, September 3, 2023.
The Mother of Dragons
The actress has achieved international recognition by playing for eight seasons Daenerys Targaryenthe Mother of Dragons, in the cult series Game Of Thrones (2011-2019), produced and broadcast on HBO. “This recurring role earned her, among other things, four Emmy Award nominations for best actress,” recall the festival organizers.

She is currently on Disney+alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Olivia Colman, in the miniseries Secret Invasion, based on the comic book series of the same name published in 2008 and part of the cinematic universe Marvel.
