Demi Lovato unstoppable on “Confident (rock version)”

Discover a new, more rock version of “Confident”, in which singer Demi Lovato makes the riffs speak.

If Demi Lovato felt like herself when she entered the studio to record “Confident” for her fifth album of the same name in 2015, she feels unstoppable on this new version which pushes the volume to the limit. “Confident (Rock Version)” is set to appear on his upcoming album, Revamped, scheduled for September 15. It takes the proud look of the original track and gives it a sharper sound.

“It’s time for me to take it/I’m the boss right now/Not gonna fake it/Not when you go down/’Cause this is my game, and you better come to play/I used to hold my freak back, now I’m letting go/I made my own choice/Bitch, I run this show” she spits in the first verse.

“I changed the melody a bit in some places and I try to expect higher notes than in the original version,” Demi Lovato told Rolling Stone in July. The new version of “Confident” adds a plus to his already grandiose vocal parts. Its production is updated by Warren ‘Oak’ Felder, Keith “Ten4” Sorrells, and Alex Nice.

“I love going back to these old titles,” she adds. “We managed to revise them well, I’m happy about that. »

“Confident (Rock Version) follows the rock versions of ‘Sorry Not Sorry’, featuring Slash, ‘Cool for the Summer’ and ‘Heart Attack’. Revamped will consist of ten tracks. There are therefore six to be released, including “Tell Me You Love Me” and “Neon Lights”, in which The Maine appears. »

I think what matters is to listen to it with an open mind and to be receptive to a new musical genre,” explains Demi Lovato. I think my fans will still understand and love these titles. »
