After rumors of Patrick Stewart’s possible appearance in Doctor Strange 2, a new report appears to confirm that in the next Sorcerer Supreme movie we will also meet Wolverine but apparently, it will be very different from how we know it.
Joseph Deckelmeier of The Illuminerdi posted a post on Twitter stating that the mutant will make its debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the film with Benedict Cumberbatch. However, it’s unclear if this is a generic variant of Wolverine or the franchise’s new official Wolverine, but he appears to be certain that he won’t be played by Hugh Jackman this time around.
For the moment we know that Doctor Strange will have to deal with the Illuminati, a group of superheroes that in the comics is made up of the greatest minds in the Marvel universe. This team included characters of great importance such as Charles Xavier, Mister Fantastic, Iron Man, Professor X, Black Bolt, Captain Americae and Namor.
As the concept of the Multiverse opens the door to numerous variations of our beloved heroes, as was the case with actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield who recently appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s possible that even Wolverine may appear in the next movie dedicated to the Sorcerer Supremein totally different guises from the ones we have come to know so far.
In your opinion, who could this new Wolverine be interpreted by? Tell us in the comments.
