Dollface canceled after two seasons

The witty comedy with Kat Dennings, available in Italy on Disney +, will not return with a third season.

Jules will no longer keep us company with his sparkling and surreal worlds created by his imagination. TVLine lets us know that Dollfacethe Hulu comedy featuring Kat Dennings (2 Broke Girls) as a nearly 30-year-old in search of herself, has been canceled and will not return with a third season. The second season, in Italy available from last April 27 on Disney +it will unfortunately also be the last.

Dollface will not have a third season

Crata from Jordan Weiss and also produced by Margot Robbie, Dollface tells the story of Jules (Kat Dennings in one of her best performances), a girl like many others who, after a long relationship gone badly, tries to reconnect with her long-neglected friends while she was a couple. Together the girls navigate between work and love problems, while Jules’ fervent imagination creates paradoxical and funny situations in which it is easy to identify. In the new episodes of her together with her friends Stella (Shay Mitchell), Madison (Brenda Song) and Izzy (Esther Povitsky), Jules ventured into a “post-pandemic and post-disappointment” world as she was about to cross the fateful threshold of 30 years.

The second season introduced interesting new characters: Lilly Singh in the role of a queer bar owner who co-managed with Stella, Jayson Blair as Izzy’s new love interest; Corinne Foxx as an enigmatic daughter of a music industry tycoon e Luke Cook (The terrifying adventures of Sabrina) in the role of a musician and Jules’ new love interest. Unfortunately we will never know how Jules will fare in the future, but it is certain that this series has been able to offer a new and original point of view on female friendship and empowerment. So, if you haven’t seen it, we still recommend that you retrieve it on Disney +.
