A three-time Grammy-nominated multi-platinum singer and hit-and-goer, Camila Cabello presents her new single and accompanying music video “Don’t Go Yet”.
The song is a preview of the upcoming third studio album of the artist, entitled “Familia”.
The song “Don’t Go Yet” was written by Camila, Scott Harris, Ricky Reed and Mike Sabath and produced by Mike Sabath and Ricky Reed and features percussion by acclaimed Cuban drummer Pedrito Martinez. This is Camila’s first release since the platinum album “Romance” from 2019.
Cuba-born singer and songwriter Camila Cabello released her debut solo album “Camila” in January 2018, instantly garnering rave reviews. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in parallel with the single “Havana”, which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Camila then became the first solo artist in almost 15 years to rank number one on the top three charts in the same week. She also became the most played artist on Spotify.
During the Video Music Awards 2018, she won the Artist of the Year and Music Video of the Year awards for her hit “Havana”. In December 2019, Camila released her second studio album “Romance”, which went platinum. During the 62nd edition of the Grammy Awards, Camila gave a touching performance with the song “First Man”, during which she sang directly to her dad sitting in the audience.
Camila is the first female artist since Adele to triple in the top three charts. She is also an ambassador for Save the Children. This year she will make her acting debut in “Cinderella” (directed by Kay Cannon), which will be released on September 3rd.
In 2020, Camila launched the Healing Justice Project together with Movement Voted Fund. The project provides grants for mental health-related resources to young activists and grassroots organizations working for racial and economic justice and country development.
