Available, thanks to Warner Bros., the poster and the new trailer of Don’t Worry Darling, the psychological thriller directed by actress and director Olivia Wilde, here in her second feature film. Among her acting rehearsals we remember those in Turistas, Tron: Legacy And The Lazarus Effect.
The film will arrive in Italian cinemas on 22 September.
Set in the 1950s, the story of Don’t Worry Darling sheds light on Alice (Florence Pugh), a housewife married to Jack (Harry Styles), with whom she lives in an experimental, isolated and utopian community, leading an idyllic existence, along with other happy families. Here is the concept of social optimism, typical of that decade, and also carried on by Frank (Chris Pine), the CEO. Apparently life is perfect and every resident’s need is promptly satisfied by the company in exchange for the work commitment and discretion on the project in progress.
But Alice soon begins to suspect that, under the appearance, a terrible reality is hiding.
The screenplay was written by Shane, Carey Van Dyke and Katie Silberman while Vertigo Entertainment’s Roy Lee (IT, The Ring) appears in the production of the film alongside Olivia Wilde and Katie Silberman.
The cast instead consists of Florence Pugh (Midsommar – The village of the damned), Harry Styles, Chris Pine (Unstoppable – Out of control), Dakota Johnson (Suspiria – 2018), the same Olivia Wilde and Dita von Teese, the showgirl / costume designer American burlesque.
