Drake is preparing a music video for ‘Sticky’
It’s been about a week and a half since Drake released their surprise dance album ‘Honestly, Nevermind’, and people are still talking about it. To keep those conversations going, 6 God has a music video that he’s sure to get people talking even more just with the dance moves he’s showing off.
On Monday (June 27), clips of Drizzy shooting a music video in Miami, Florida surfaced online and showed him bonding with the Philly rapper and social media dancer. 2 rare. The visual is for “Sticky”, the album’s first official single, and it looks like Drake is loosening up for the video.
In the first part of the footage, the OVO boss has an impromptu dance battle with 2 rare, where he mimics one of the young rapper’s trademark moves and adds some of his own sauce. Drizzy had a respectable performance, but 2 rare showed who was the creator of steps to the Toronto megastar.
A second clip shows 2 rare and one of his friends doing the “Blickin” dance with precision while “Sticky” kept playing in the background. at one point, Drake walks in and does his own version of the dance that has people in the circle going crazy.
People assumed the dance battle took place during a party until 2 rare clarified that he was shooting a music video for “Sticky”. Someone commented on the TikTok post of 2 rare saying, “If Drake has a video for Sticky, he has to put you guys in it.” He replied, “That’s what we’re here for.”
Last week, Drake announced “Sticky” and “Massive” as the album’s first two radio singles. Fans originally thought “Falling Back” would be the single after Drizzy released a music video alongside the release of Honestly, Nevermind.
“Sticky” was sent to rhythmic and urban radio, while “Massive” is in the pop category. The two singles became fan favorites alongside “Texts Go Green” and rap-centric “Jimmy Cooks” featuring 21 Savage.
