Eagle Pictures’ home video releases in May 2022: Uncharted, Coda, Cyrano

There are many and important releases in home video in May proposed by Eagle Pictures: here are the releases on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Breathtaking adventures, great emotions and Oscar films among the Eagle Pictures Home Video releases of May 2022. It begins on May 5th with THE WOLF AND THE LION by Gilles de Maistre, available in DVD and Blu-ray formats. Already directing the exciting blockbuster film “Mia and the White Lion”, Gilles de Maistre returns to direct an extraordinary adventure for the whole family: once again the production filmed the growth of wolf and lion cubs from their first moments until youth, for a span of 15 months. Also in the cast is Oscar nominee Graham Greene, famous for his role in Dances with Wolves and The Secrets of Wind River. At the center of the story is Alma, a young twenty year old and talented pianist originally from Canada who returns to live in the woods of the island where she spent her childhood. On her way she meets two small creatures by chance: a wolf cub and a lion cub, renamed by Alma with the names “Mozart” and “Dreamer”, a trio with an indissoluble bond that not even fate will be able to separate; animals are discovered, the lion is captured and sent to a traveling circus, the wolf to an animal research center. It is the beginning of an extraordinary adventure starring two puppies in search of their beloved little sister.

Also from May 5th “HOW I KILL YOU THE BODYGUARD 2 – LA MOGLIE DEL SICARIO” by Patrick Hughes published on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K. Starring stars Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and iconic Salma Hayek in a hilarious new chapter that’s even more action-packed. Bodyguard Michael Bryce (Ryan Reynolds) had vowed not to resort to violence again, but his good intentions literally fall apart when ex-killer Darius Kincaid (Samuel L. Jackson) and his beautiful wife Sonia ( Salma Hayek) involve him in a mission to support an FBI agent (Frank Grillo) intent on preventing a cyber attack organized by a vengeful and powerful criminal (Antonio Banderas).

May 13 will be the turn of the highly anticipated “UNCHARTED” by Ruben Fleischer, adventurous adaptation of the video game saga of the same name by PlayStation Productions. The film will be available in DVD, Blu-ray, Combo (with double DVD + Blu-ray disc), 4K (containing both Blu-ray and 4K format) and a collectible Steelbook always with the double Blu disc inside. -ray + 4K. The Blu-ray and 4k editions include lots of extra content, for a total of 45 minutes, with featurettes dedicated to the cast and backstage, as well as deleted and extended scenes, while all editions will contain unmissable gadgets to collect inspired by the film: in the DVD and Blu-ray format there is a notepad, a document holder and a bookmark are included in the Combo edition, and both the 4K and 4K Steelbook editions will contain a notepad and a bookmark. After the great success of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland takes off the shoes of Spider-Man for a new adventure in true Indiana Jones style, together with Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Ali and Antonio Banderas. An origin story halfway between adventure, videogame and coming-of-age, directed by the director of Zombieland and Venom. Street thief Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) is recruited by seasoned treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) to recover a fortune lost by Ferdinand Magellan 500 years ago. What begins as a robbery for the duo becomes a mad rush to reach the destination before the ruthless Moncada (Antonio Banderas), who believes that he and his family are the legitimate heirs. If Nate and Sully can crack the clues and solve one of the world’s oldest mysteries, they can find a $ 5 billion treasure and possibly even Nate’s long-missing brother, but only if they learn to work together.

From May 25, again thanks to Eagle Pictures, CODA – I SEGNI DEL HEORE by Sian Heder, i will be availablen a brand new reissue in DVD, Blu-ray and 4K formats (with dual 4K + Blu-ray discs), all contending for 30 minutes of extra content, including interviews with the cast and director. The products also include an exclusive 36-page booklet: the sign language manual. Moving and award-winning coming-of-age story loosely inspired by the French hit “The Bélier Family”, the film was awarded three Oscars this year for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor and Best Non-Original Screenplay, also garnering two Golden Globes nominations. four awards at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival and garnering 96% positive critical reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Ruby Rossi (played by Emilia Jones, star of the Netflix series “Lock & Key”) is no ordinary high school girl: her days start at 3 am, on a fishing boat, alongside her older brother Leo (Daniel Durant) who, like dad Frank (Troy Kotsur, who won the 2022 Academy Award® for Best Supporting Actor for this role) and mom Jackie (Marlee Matlin, Oscar® Award® for Best Actress in the film “Children of a Lesser God” ), is deaf. Every day, before going to school, Ruby is mocked by the other students, but she doesn’t care. Also available from May 25 with Eagle Pictures “CYRANO” by acclaimed director Joe Wright, published in DVD and Blu-ray formats. In the role of the poet swordsman made famous by the playwright Edmond Rostand, the actor Peter Dinklage, famous for the role of Tyrion Lannister in the series “Game of Thrones”, here protagonist of a musical full of romanticism halfway between “Shakespeare in Love” and “Moulin Rouge”, nominated for an Academy Award® for Best Costumes. Behind the camera the director of “Pride and Prejudice”, “Atonement”, “Anna Karenina” and “The Darkest Hour”, which draws the audience into a symphony of emotions through music, romance and beauty, reinterpreting the timeless story of one of the most famous and overwhelming love triangles ever in a cinematic key.
