El. MS: FIFA may change the rules. Yellow cards may be canceled

According to the regulations, play-offs for the Qatar World Cup are part of the qualifying round, so the yellow cards received by players are not automatically canceled at the end of the group stage. We remind you that a player must be penalized with two yellow cards in order to be suspended from the next game. UEFA decided to ask FIFA to change the rules.

The European football federation made a special request calling for the reminders to be canceled after the group stage. ESPN says FIFA is willing to lean to that conclusion and change the rules. Many of the federations participating in the play-offs would also like this change. This case involves a total of 107 players who are facing a forced pause in one of the clashes to decide who will go to Qatar.

There are as many as 10 players in the Polish national team who will not play or may not play in one of the play-off matches. At the moment, Mateusz Klich, who saw two yellow cards during the November training camp, will certainly not appear in the first meeting. In addition, the absences from the final match are: Kamil Glik, Tymoteusz Puchacz, Tomasz Kędziora, Matty Cash, Bartosz Bereszyński, Michał Helik, Karol Świderski, Arkadiusz Milik and Damian Szymański. As for the team with the most vulnerable players in its ranks, it is Turkey. In the bars of this representation as many as 13 players have one yellow card on their account.

If the changes are to take effect from this play-off, a decision must be made and approved before the draw of pairs and the play-off bracket. It will take place on Friday, November 26 at 17:00 in Zurich. Let us remind you that the Poles are among the teams that are not seeded, so the Biało-Czerwoni will play away for sure.
