Actress Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, spoke a little about the future of her character to the North American portal CinemaBlend, last week. She said that she is attached to Wanda after WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and won’t know what to do without the character.
With the emphasis on Scarlet Witch in the last film, actor Benedict Cumberbatch commented on the importance of other characters for the development of Dr. Strange. Seeing the stories blending together, Elizabeth also commented that the characters were similar, so they should be together in the scene.
“It’s exciting that we can put them in the same world because they understand each other. Both are independent in a way,” he recently told The Washington Post.
In a new statement, the actress reinforced the idea of working with other Marvel characters, although she still has no more concrete plans.
“I really don’t know what I’m going to do after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I want to know what the fans want and what the ideas are. If we’re bringing the X-Men back, I want to be there! I don’t have any real plans yet. I’m really excited to talk to Kevin Feige about this at some point.”
The actress’ speech raises even more expectations about the appearance of the X-Men in the MCU. Professor Charles Xavier, leader of the X-Men, has appeared in Dr. Strange and now fans are hoping that Wanda will join the mutants.
