Rumors about his hypothetical farewell had been circulating for some time. After all, his name has been inextricably linked to the series, and vice versa, for almost twenty years and obviously that of Meredith Grey remains the role of his artistic life, at least for now. A role that he will continue to play, perhaps for a cameo.
“I am eternally grateful and honored by the love you have shown me, a Meredith Grey and to the series for 19 seasons! None of this would have been possible without the best fans in the world. You made the trip iconic! I love you madly », she writes on social media. A full-blown announcement, which does not leave much room for interpretation, “the actress then wrote in her goodbye.
