The actor Elliot Page35, who publicly came out as transgender in 2020, just revealed that her character in The Umbrella Academy, Vanya Hargreeves (who was written as a cis woman in the first two seasons), will do coming out as transgender in the third season and will be called Viktor Hargreeves.
Although up until this point it had been reported by the show’s producers that there were no plans for Elliot Page’s character rewrite as a trans person, the actor himself announced on Twitter Tuesday that his character, Victorwill be released in the next season of The Umbrella Academy, sharing a photo of himself in a scene from the series. The caption reads: “Meet Viktor Hargreeves“.

Even the account of Netflix shared the tweet, welcoming a Victor in the family of The Umbrella Academy: “Welcome to the family Viktor, we are so glad you are here“.
The Umbrella Academy focuses on just one family of orphans with supernatural powersadopted by the eccentric billionaire Reginald Hargreevs. In the cast with Elliot Page also Robert Sheehan (Klaus Hargreevs), Tom Hoppers (Luther Hargreevs) ed Emmy Raver-Lampman (Allison Hargreevs).
In the second season we left the team in 1963after traveling through time and having altered the timeline.
