The visit of Basket Brno in Włocławek ended with the success of Anwil. The team from the Czech Republic fought bravely, and at one point in the third quarter they had even 8 points ahead, but the hosts were led by (again a great one) Jonah Mathews they made up for the losses in the fourth installment and finally won. Mathews scored a whopping 16 of his 25 points in that game in the last quarter.

Previously, the game was quite even, and Anwil had the biggest problems right after the change of sides, when rivals from Brno scored as many as 12 points without a response from the team from Włocławek. He only broke the losing streak of the hosts Kyndall Dykes, who played an excellent match: he added 11 balls to 21 points (10/13 from the game) and gave out eight assists in just 26 minutes of the game.

Both teams had considerable problems with hitting free kicks in this match – the players from Włocławek and Brno missed 14 out of 50 attempts altogether. One of the few who did not have any problems with it was Sebastian Kowalczyk. The substitute Anwil was perfect in this respect and used all 13 attempts on the way for 17 points.

The charges of coach Przemysław Frasunkiewicz so far have one hundred percent victories in the ENBL league – on Wednesday they won for the third time in the ongoing edition of this competition. The next two matches in this league will be played on January 25 and 26 – first they will play at home BC Borisfen (Belarus), and on the next day they will play against Yenisei Krasnoyarsk (Russia).
