Energica towards Eicma 2022: will we see a 182 HP electric motor? – News

As the wait rises for Eicma 2022 (scheduled from 8 to 13 November in Milan Rho Fiera), full bets are taken on what we will see at the Milan show. Among the news there is a rumor that circulates and concerns Energetic, which from next year will no longer be the sole supplier of the MotoE (in its place comes Ducati). Nevertheless, it seems that the Modenese company is working on an electric motor of around 182 HP.

The news

A news that seems confirmed by the documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the United States, where it is explained that in the near future the Energica range will have a 134 kW (182 hp) engine. Currently, the OEM’s most powerful engine is that of the Ego, Eva Ribelle and Esse Esse9 models. But Energica, we well know, has established numerous partnerships in recent years (such as the collaboration with Renova electric and hybrid motors or with the Italian company Mavel), allowing its technology to progress quickly. In 2021, the leap in quality: the 145hp power unit was replaced with the current 149hp unit. But to get to 182hp, well, it would really represent a very important step for Energica and for the entire sector.

There’s more. In addition to this interesting news, the documents also reveal that Energica plans to release a new version of Experiathe first Green Tourer electric motorcycle in Europe.
