As announced by the distributor, “Eternals” is an epic story spanning thousands of years, which presents a group of immortals forced to come out of the shadows to reunite with the oldest enemies of mankind – the Deviants.

The notable cast includes Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Gemma Chan as the human-loving Sersi, Kumail Nanjiani as the space Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as the super-fast Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as the intelligent inventor of Phastos, Salma Hayek as the wise and spiritual leader of Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite’s forever young, old soul, Don Lee as the mighty Gilgamesh, Barry Keoghan as the reserved loner Druig, and Angelina Jolie as the fierce warrior Thena. Kit Harington plays Dane Whitman.
The director of the film is this year’s Oscar winner Chloé Zhao. The director was awarded the American Film Academy statuette for “Nomadland” and is only the second woman in history with this award. When the first information about the cast and creators of “Eternals” came out, Salma Hayek spoke about Zhao:
It takes a strong woman to make a movie like this.
The actress added that she “is honored” to be involved in a production that “will allow people who have never felt like superheroes on screen to feel represented.”
The film is based on the 1970s comic book series by Jack Kirby. “Eternals” is slated to hit theaters on November 5th.
