Ethan Hawke plays a past-obsessed detective in a Showtime miniseries

The drama is based on the novel of the same name by Richard Price and also involves the director of Dinner with Murder Rian Johnson as an executive producer.

After the recent and successful experiences in Moon Knight And The Good Lord Bird, Ethan Hawke is already projected towards a new TV series. The actor will star in The Whitesa crime miniseries in the works on the US cable network Showtime.

The plot of The Whites

Based on the novel of the same name by Richard Priceaccording to Variety The Whites is a crime drama that imagines that every detective has his own “white whale”, or the perpetrator of a crime who got away with it because the justice system failed. Hawke will play ex-detective Billy Graves, a famous ex-cop who was part of a lauded group of agents called the “Wild Geese”. Graves leaves the NYPD Homicide Unit to move to a quieter unit. But when his “white whale” resurfaces in a seemingly simple new murder case, his life is turned upside down.

The Tony winner Jez Butterworth (Ford v. Ferrari, Specter) will write the series and will be executive productions. Hawke himself will executive produce with his production company Under the Influence along with his wife Ryan Hawke. The screenwriter of Dinner with crime Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman And Nena Rodrigue they will be executive producers on T-Street and author Richard Price will also be executive producer.
