Ewan McGregor to star in new series ‘A Gentleman in Moscow’

New TV Role Coming For Ewan McGregor. The Scottish actor, recently seen in Obi-Wan Kenobiwill star in a promising new series.

Ewan McGregor, who got married last April with his colleague Mary Elizabeth Winsteadwill lead the cast and executive produce A Gentleman in Moscowseries coming soon on Paramount+the new streaming service available starting from 15 September also in Italy.

The show is a small-screen adaptation of the best-selling novel A gentleman in Moscow Of Amor Towles. Filming is set to begin later this year, with a 2023 U.S. debut on Showtime and internationally on Paramount+.

In A Gentleman in Moscow we will see Ewan McGregor play the count Alexander Rostov which, according to the synopsis of the series “in the aftermath of the Russian Revolution, he finds that his golden past puts him on the wrong side of history. Spared from immediate execution, he is banished from a Soviet court to an attic of the opulent Hotel Metropol, threatened with death if he ever sets foot outside again. As the years roll by and some of the most tumultuous decades in Russian history unfold outside the hotel’s doors, Rostov’s diminutive circumstances allow him to enter a much larger world of emotional discovery. As he builds a new life within the walls of the hotel, he discovers the true value of friendship, family and love.”.

Regarding this new series, the actor of Trainspotting and Moulin Rouge! he anticipated: “It’s an incredible and beautiful story and I’m very excited to play such a fabulous role”.
