Danny Masterson will spend the next 30 years in prison. The star of That’s 70s Show47 years old, had been recognized guilty of raping two women by the Los Angeles court on May 30. The case dates back to 2017, when the Weinstein affair gripped Hollywood. At the time, all eyes were turned towards the all-powerful Church of Scientology, of which the two victims belonged. According to the complainants, the sect, well established in Los Angeles, would have “advised” them to report the facts which had taken place at the actor’s, also a Scientologist, in Hollywood Hills between 2001 and 2003. At the end of the trial last June, the ex-acolyte of Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher was held responsible for having “drugged and raped each of these victims”. He then headed to prison to await his sentence.
The sentence fell this Thursday, September 7. The fallen star of That’s 70s Show was sentenced to 30 years in prison for rape. “Mr. Masterson, you are not the victim,” hammered Charlaine Olmedo, judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, who also ordered his registration in the sex offender file. “You like to hurt womenlaunched one of the actor’s victims present in court.
