EXCLUSIVE TJ – Gisdol, former coach of Kostić: “Great deal Juve, he will leave his mark. For the fans he will become an idol”

It’s Kostic-day! The Serbian footballer, expected in Turin for medical examinations and the signing of the contract, is the shot requested by Massimiliano Allegri to reinforce the left wing. Versatile and very flexible, his task will be to assist compatriot Dusan Vlahovic and to create havoc in the opposing defenses with his plays. Our editorial team contacted, exclusively, his former coach at the time of Hamburg, Markus Gisdol, to talk in depth about him and not only:

A couple of months ago you recommended him to Juventus, have you changed your mind in the meantime?

“Absolutely not, Juventus have made a great deal. I am convinced of it! However he will need some time to get used to the new type of football, I just hope he will be granted that time. Filip will do very well in Turin.”

There his choice was decisive for the conclusion of the deal. Why didn’t you choose the Premier instead?

“With great honesty, I don’t know the exact reasons for his decision. But I can say that Juventus are very important in Germany and are seen as one of the top clubs in Europe. They always fight to win everything every year.”

What will be the impact of Kostic in Serie A?

“He has a very special way of playing, even in Hamburg I remember him very well. He was able to make a difference. The fans here in Italy will love him very soon, you will see that he will be an idol.”

Is he the perfect player to play in 4-3-3?

“If Filip gets the necessary freedom to impose his game on the left wing, then he can play very well in any formation. Without a shadow of a doubt.”

Serbian players generally they have always done very well in Italy. Will he suffer from a tactical point of view?

“Filip has always been a guy who is careful to learn as much as possible and always very disciplined. He has continued to improve in recent years, with the same passion and discipline as he did in his beginnings. This is why I am convinced that he will leave his mark on Juventus too! wait to see him soon in Turin “.

Yup thanks Markus Gisdol for the courtesy and helpfulness shown during this interview.
