Fantastic Four, fans worried about John Krasinski’s future as Reed Richards after Raimi’s statements

According to Sam Raimi, Kevin Feige chose John Krasinski as Reed Richards only because Doctor Strange 2 is an alternate universe.

During the audio commentary featured in the digital version of the film, director Sam Raimi talked about the entry of the Reed Richards alias Mister Fantasticinterpreted by John Krasinskiexplaining how the actor was chosen thanks to the strong desire of the public and fan castings that have followed one another online for years:

It’s funny that Kevin [Feige] decided to hire John [Krasinski] because it was the fans dream for the perfect Reed Richards. And, as this is an alternate universe, I believe Kevin said, ‘Let’s make that dream come true.’ I have always appreciated all of his works.

Raimi’s words, in particular about being an “alternative universe”, raise many doubts about the possible return of Krasinski in the role of Mister Fantastic in the next film about Fantastic Fourreboot produced by Marvel Studios and set in the MCU.
