Federer, double farewell with Nadal: ‘It will be wonderful’ – Tennis

Roger Federer will end his career tonight at the Laver Cup, in doubles with the Majorcan Rafa Nadal against Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe. The Swiss posted on Twitter the schedule of the first day of the competition which takes place at the O2 Arena in London and obviously the match stands out, scheduled around 9.30 pm, which will be his farewell catwalk, for which he has chosen his eternal rival and great friend as a partner.

“It is special to be able to play with Rafa once again. I’m sure it will be wonderful” Federer said. A week ago the champion announced his retirement from tennis at the end of the competition that will see Europe and the World opposing. Nadal and Federer have already played doubles in Laver Cup in the first edition of 2017, when they beat Americans Querrey and Sock.
