A very high-value Ferrari was destroyed in an accident in Hanoi, Vietnam. Here is how the car is reduced.
Who has never dreamed of having a Ferrari? Owning one of these cars is really a desire that motor enthusiasts have cherished since childhood, but unfortunately there are few who can really afford to buy one, given the exorbitant prices with which they are placed on the market.
Without a doubt, a creature of the Cavallino is the most coveted supercar by all. Whoever found himselfsuddenly and for no specific reason, a nice stack of money in his pocket would run to a dealer to buy a Ferrarieven if to carry one around you should know its characteristics well.
For those not used to driving, in fact, it is not at all easy to manage the power of these monsters on the road. There is really nothing like it compared to a more normal car, and in fact, we often find ourselves reading about sensational accidents and hundreds of thousands of euros in damage. Today is one of those days when we will tell you about a bad accident, even if, in this case, the fault is not at all the owner of the vehicle.
Ferrari, accident in Hanoi for a 488 GTB
The Ferrari 488 GTB went into production in 2015, the same year it was made available on the market for wealthy clients who can afford one. It is a car that obviously has two seats, for the driver and a passenger, with a 90-degree bi-turbo V8 engine, with a displacement of 3902 cubic centimeters.
The engine is central and the traction is rear, with a maximum deliverable power of 670 horsepower. The 0-100 km / h are covered in just three seconds exactly, with a top speed that reaches 330 km / h, truly a monster of power and thrilling in terms of driving, but also in terms of engine noise, even if the turbo cannot be compared to the aspirate of its progenitor, namely the 458 Italia.
The 488 was, of course, also used in the GT racing program of the Maranello house, and won two 24 hours of Le Mans in the GTE-PRO class with theAF Corsewhich has also won twice in the FIA WEC with Alessandro Pier Guidi And James Calado. It is a vehicle that has made racing history, and which will retire in the coming months to make room for the 296 GT3. It will be a real shame not to see her in action on tracks all over the world anymore.
As mentioned, the 488 GTB was unfortunately the subject of a bad accident, particularly in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. As previously mentioned, the fault lies not with the driver, unlike many other accidents we have told you about where the inexperience of those behind the wheel caused very heavy crashes.
The 488 GTB involved is in fact on the list of 23,555 Ferraris around the world that have been recalled to solve brake problems. In the recent announcement of the supercar house Ferrari, there are a total of 23,555 Ferraris including the following models: 430, 612 Scaglietti, California, 488, Rome and even some limited editions worth millions of dollars such as the F60 America and LaFerrari. These cars need to be recalled to repair some brake system problems, which probably caused this impact.
The problems with the brakes should all be solved by the end of September, and this is a truly singular problem given the reliability that usually distinguishes the vehicles produced in Maranello. Fortunately, in Hanoi there were no physical consequences for drivers, pedestrians or other cars that were circulating on the street, but it all turned out to be a great fright, because going off course with such a car can often mean a much heavier bill to pay.
