After admiring her in Andrew Dominik’s controversial Blonde, available on Netflix, Ana de Armas is ready to devote himself to a totally different project: the spin-off of the saga of John Wick Ballerinawhich will officially begin filming next week.
It was reported in these hours by TV Line, with the announcement made by Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer during the last investor call: this is the latest update regarding the future prospects for the franchise with Keanu Reevesafter we learned in recent days that the prequel series The Continental will arrive on Prime Video globally (including Italy).
We remember that Ana de Armas will star in Dancera spin-off of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum which will follow a young assassin trained in the ‘dance school’ seen in the third chapter of the action saga with Keanu Reeves: the story follows the girl in her quest for revenge against those who killed her family. The film will be directed by the director of Underworld Len Wiseman, who will direct from a screenplay by Shay Hatten, known for Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead and himself John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. De Armas also revealed in an interview earlier this year that Emerald Fennell, Academy Award-winning screenwriter and director of A promising womanprovided the finishing touches to the script to add a female point of view.
That’s all that is known about so far Dancer, with the other cast members still unknown. Stay tuned for all the next updates, which at this point will not be long in coming.
