The first image from Daisy Ridley’s upcoming action-thriller film Cleaner is here.
Directed by Martin Campbell (Thatsino Royale, GoldenEye), the film stars Ridley as Joey Locke, a former soldier turned window cleaner who uses her military skills and new profession after an annual energy company gala is taken over by radical activists.
In the picture, the Star Wars actress can be seen wearing a t-shirt which appears to feature the logo of rock band The Strokes and a jacket over the top, while her hair is cropped short.
She stood in the entrance of an office building, possibly at the Shard in London – where majority of the film takes place.

After a “zealous extremist” takes over the activist group and threatens to murder the 300 hostages from the energy company Joey uses her experience to scale 90 stories up the building in order to “save the hostages and take down the killers”.
“Cleaner is a nail-biting thriller, unique and original in both its characters and its setting,” Campbell said of the movie (via Deadline).
“Much of the film takes place on the side of the Shard — hundreds of feet up in the air — and I want the audience to be up there with Joey in a stomach-churning, vertiginous experience. There isn’t a more instinctive and powerful actress than Daisy right now to help us do just that.”
Clive Owen (Children of Men, Closer) also stars in the film, with further cast details to be announced.
