Filming Godzilla vs. Kong 2 have just started, and the first ones have already arrived texture details of the sequel to the blockbuster released in 2021.
In a statement originally posted on the Australian government website in March, but recently posted on social media, it says that “the fifth film [del] MonsterVerse franchise will see Kong defend the Earth from the unusual and dangerous creatures that threaten his new home.” The main question that everyone is asking, however, is whether the new chapter will be set in the Hollow Earth. Indeed, it is unclear whether the “new home” referred to in the statement is the Inner Earth where Kong has settled in the final part of Godzilla vs. Kong.
The director of the 2021 film, Adam Wingard, has said he wants to actually explore this area. “A clear starting point we have reached, exploring the Hollow Earth, I believe there is much more you can do there. This is a prehistory of planet Earth, where all the [Titani]”, he said. “Let’s solve some of the mystery in [Godzilla vs. Kong], [ci sono] things I want to see solved, explored and pushed to the next level. If I get the chance, I know what I’ll do.”
