“This may be the latest wave of infections,” said the French Health Minister on Monday. According to Olivier Veran, “due to the high rate of infection in the country and around the world, it is possible to develop some form of immunity, be it through vaccination or infection.”

Veran warned that January would be “extremely difficult” for French hospitals.
