Frozen 2: The Presales of the First Day Sign the New Record for the Animation

If there is a need for further evidence to support the potential success that Frozen 2 will represent for Disney, we report that the animated film has set a new opening record in pre-sales both Fandango and Atom Tickets.

The sequel to Jennifer Lee became the film with the highest number of requests in Fandango’s nineteen years, breaking Toy Story 4 ‘s pre-sales record and thus changing the top 5:

  1. Frozen 2 (2019)
  2. Toy Story 4 (2019)
  3. Incredibles 2 (2018)
  4. Finding Dory (2016)
  5. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)

While most analysts for Frozen 2 expect a $ 100 million dollar debut on the weekend of November 22-24, a more optimistic little fringe has slightly adjusted those figures to $ 125 million.

” Fans of cinema are looking forward to listening to Frozen 2 songs that will immediately become memorable and enjoy the amazing new adventures of Anna, Elsa, and Olaf, ” said Fandango general manager Erik Davis. ” It’s a tradition of the Thanksgiving season to gather in multiplexes for a Disney movie, and based on the sensational sale of tickets for Frozen 2 on Fandango, it’s clear that families and groups of friends have already decided what to do for the holidays.”

For Atom, Frozen 2, Toy Story 4 and Incredibles 2 are among the top three bestsellers for animation on the first day: Frozen 2 presales on the portal have even surpassed those of the live-action remakes of classic Disney films, including The Lion King, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast of 2017. Even the opera has become the second-largest pre-sale for a film in general on Atom for the last quarter of 2019, behind only Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
