Gabigol dreams of a transfer to the Premier League. Conversations started

West Ham United has contacted Flamengo to acquire Gabigol during the winter transfer window, Sky Sports and Fabrizio Romano said.

The seventeen-time Brazilian international has rebuilt on his home soil after a failed attempt to conquer European fields under the colors of Inter Milan.

The center forward is already richer with this experience and that is why now, after winning all the most important trophies with the club from Rio de Janeiro, he has opened up to leaving it in favor of re-entering the Old Continent, and more specifically in England.

Sky Sports and Fabrizio Romano have announced that West Ham United is currently one of the 25-year-old’s most interested in the services of the 25-year-old Premier League club.

“Hammers” are doing very well in the ongoing competition and intend to continue the fight for a place in the group stage of the Champions League in the second half of the season. Bringing Gabigol in would help them to achieve this goal.

The first of the above-mentioned sources proves that the Brazilian is open to joining the London team, because he sees it as a chance to be in the squad for this year’s World Cup.

Romano, on the other hand, adds that West Ham United’s efforts so far have not brought him any closer to bringing in the striker, because the English club’s offer – a one-and-a-half-year loan for around six million euros – was not approved by Flamengo, which was recently acquired by Paulo Sousa.

Gabigol finished the past season with 26 goals in 38 matches played.
