(ANSA) – ROME, OCTOBER 01 – The British Ministry of Defense in the latest intelligence briefing states that “Russia’s expansion strategy has led to the killing of civilians that it now claims to be its own citizens”.
In the report published on Twitter, the ministry states that “Russian forces almost certainly hit the humanitarian convoy south-east of the city of Zaporizhzhia yesterday. The weapon used was probably a Russian long-range air defense missile used for the Ground attack. Russian stocks of such missiles are most likely limited and represent a high-value resource designed to shoot down modern aircraft and incoming missiles, rather than to be used against ground targets. Its use in the ground attack role is it was almost certainly determined by the general shortage of ammunition, particularly longer range precision missiles, “reads the British intelligence update.
