God of War is undoubtedly one of the best games of the last generation to be released on the Sony PlayStation 4. Currently, however, it can be played not only on PS4, but also on PlayStation 5 as part of backward compatibility, while offering gameplay in dynamic 4K resolution and smooth 60 frames per second. In a few months, the PC will also join this group, as the title has recently been officially announced in the version for personal computers. We will wait for the premiere until January 14, 2022, where the game will be available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. At the time of the announcement, Sony revealed that God of War will support NVIDIA DLSS technology to improve performance. In turn, AMD also confirms the use of their solution called FidelityFX Super Resolution.

God of War will be another production that allows you to fire both NVIDIA DLSS techniques as well as AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution. On the AMD website, among the announced games, there is a mention of the said game. As the implementation of FSR is very easy for developers, adding it should not come as a big surprise. Although it does not impress with image quality, for older graphics cards or AMD APU processors it is primarily a solution that allows a fairly smooth game.

AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution offers four implementation levels: Ultra Quality, Quality, Balanced and Performance. Currently, most games supporting this technique offer the best picture quality in 4K resolution, while maintaining the ultra quality or quality setting. We are very curious how the DLSS and FSR will be compared in the upcoming God of War.
