Meghan paid tribute to Elizabeth II with a veil

The wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry took place on May 19, 2018. The event was unusual in that Markle comes from an African-American family. For this reason, a gospel choir sang in the church, and an American clergyman delivered the sermon.

Meghan Markle smuggled an element in her styling that was a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II. It’s exactly about hers a veil with 53 flowers embroidered to symbolize exactly that much of the countries of the Commonwealth of Nations. A five-meter long veil accommodated them all, and the embroidery was made with silk thread. The author of this masterpiece was Clare Waight Keller from the Givenchy fashion house, who stood behind the entire Meghan wedding dress, and the inspiration for its creation was the veil of Queen Elizabeth II, who also wore a veil with a floral pattern during her wedding with Prince Philip.
