Days of excitement for GTA 6, although the next chapter of the Rockstar Games series is far from being presented.
GTA V is still on the crest of the wave and the software house founded by the Houser brothers seems to be in no particular hurry.
In any case, in recent times, the rumors have alternated thanks to the intervention of the insider Tom Henderson.
These rumors, already pretty reliable in themselves, were confirmed over the weekend by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier.
Now, a new source “confirmed” and echoed, emphasizing how truthful other details fullerene of GTA V.
GTA 6, as confirmed by the sources of VGC, would be released between 2024 and 2025, and for two very specific reasons.
In fact, Rockstar Games would like to solve two problems in one go:
- do not put too much stress on your development team, after the case that broke out close to Red Dead Redemption 2 due to the crunch
- wait for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S to have an installed base that justifies the exclusive next-gen launch
Schreier’s first report from 2020, a pre-pandemic phase in which a now discarded 2023 was believed to be possible, suggested that GTA 6 would start with a smaller map and then expand on the run.
Henderson confirmed this indiscretion a few days ago, talking about a seamless Fortnite- style expanding map.
The map would be nothing more than a next-gen version of Vice City (the fictional Miami of Rockstar Games), with a modern setting this time around.
Among the novelties that have just emerged, again by Henderson, it is also good to remember the presence of a female protagonist (we do not know if alone or in pairs, or in a trio like on GTA V ) and jetpack.
A particularly intense period around Grand Theft Auto, whose next chapter is already among the most discussed things on the net.
And a period that coincides with the opening of a new studio by one of the founders of Rockstar, who presumably will operate in the same vein.
