Verstappen is in a slightly better position before the last race, because if both drivers did not score, the Dutchman would become the champion, having won more races this season (9-8).

Toto Wolff, the head of Mercedes, is concerned about the course of the last race.

– We have already seen several incidents in Brazil, even at lower speeds. We would not like to see it in Abu Dhabi. If this is not investigated, it could end up ugly for the championship. I hope everyone will learn from the race in Abu Dhabi. I don’t think the championship deserves a result that would be affected by a collision. The championship should be won by the faster driver in the faster car, not by removing each other, admits Toto Wolff.

The race in Abu Dhabi will take place on December 12. Live coverage on sport.pl and in the Sport.pl LIVE application. A year ago, Verstappen was the fastest there. The Dutchman won there only once, and Hamilton five times (in 2011, 2014, 2016, 2018-19).

The Briton has a chance for the eighth world championship. Previously, the best was in 2008, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and last year. Verstappen is only counting on the first title.
