Brad Pitt accuses Angelina Jolie of selling their vineyard shares to a “stranger”, only to harm him.
In 2011, the then Hollywood golden couple bought Château Miraval, France, with winemaker Marc Perrin.
However, Angelina sold her shares to Tenute del Mondo, a company headed by Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler, producer of Stoli vodka.
Pitt is convinced that the ex-wife, with his action, wanted to “jeopardize the reputation of the brand.”
Furthermore, Brad is convinced that the bosses of Tenute del Mondo intend to take control of Château Miraval, as the company is “indirectly owned by Yuri Shefler, the Russian oligarch, who controls the Stoli Group”.
“Jolie pursued and then consummated the sale in secret, purposely keeping Pitt in the dark and knowingly violating Pitt’s contractual rights,” reads the complaint, as People reported.
Pitt. 58, and Jolie, 47, had vowed not to sell their shares in the vineyard without mutual consent.
The plaintiff will now seek substantial damages, in addition to the cancellation of the deed of sale of Angelina’s shares.
The couple officially divorced in 2019, after they separated in 2016.
