On October 3, as part of the Paris Fashion Week, a show of the Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris collection for the spring-summer 2022 season took place. The ambassador of the French company, Helen Mirren, dressed in a monochrome set, appeared there.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of L’Oréal Paris’ iconic slogan ‘Because You Are Worth It’. In reference to this occasion, a show of the collection for the spring-summer 2022 season was held in Paris, the leitmotif of which was feminism and diversity. The brand has spoken out for all women experiencing harassment in public places as part of the Stand Up Against Street Harassment program.
– This year’s Le Défilé is a symbol of women’s strength and also carries a strong message of self-esteem. It destroys the traditional approach to typical shows, inviting the audience to join the “Stand Up Against Street Harassment” program. Celebrating our feminist and feminine vision is a call for all women (as well as men) to express common views. The fact that I can unite our global family of inspirational advocates in celebrating these values makes me proud, ”said Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, Global Brand President, L’Oréal Paris.
The ambassadors of the L’Oréal Paris brand – Amber Heard, Katherine Langford, Aja Naomi King, Aishwarya Rai, Camila Cabello and Helen Mirren – appeared on the Paris catwalk.
Helen Mirren, winner of an Oscar for her role in the 2006 film “The Queen”, presented herself at the screening in a monochrome set of simple trousers and a jacket. She completed the styling with shoes on a high platform, expressive eye make-up, and her snow-white hair was pinned up in a high bun.
The actress became the ambassador of L.‘Oréal Paris in 2014. The star was then chosen by 9,000 female respondents who described Mirren as “real, intelligent and charming, with a beauty that only grows in class with age.”
– I want to encourage and help young people find their self-esteem. In my experience, self-esteem and confidence don’t come from looking inward, but from starting to look outside, at things you can do for other people, “the actress said in an interview with Harper‘s Bazaar ”in 2020.
Performing at Paris Fashion Week is not the first time the star has appeared at a fashion show. At the beginning of September, the artist delighted with a baroque creation during the presentation of the Dolce & Gabbana collection.
