Austin Butler, big bad of Dune 2, strongly impressed his playing partners.
Forget Austin Butlerwith its bananaElvis and his devastating smile. In Dunes 2the American actor slips into the skin of the Machiavellian and brutal Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen. Be the bad guy of the saga. And, new look for the villain, as for his interpreter, since Austin Butler appears shaved head, pointed ears and pale complexion. His appearance, but also his acting on the film set, did well pinball his little comrades.
In fact, even golgoth Dave Bautista, ex-professional wrestler and ex-Drax at Marvel, was impressed by Austin Butler’s performance as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen. He confirms this in an interview given to USA Today : “I didn’t recognize Austin Butler. It wasn’t Austin Butler or Elvis. His voice is different, his physique too. He is absolutely terrifying in this role.And Dave Bautista isn’t the only one blown away by Austin Butler in Dunes 2.

When I came back to shoot, he stayed in character, continued to be really terrifying… But, as soon as we stopped shooting, he came to see me in private to ask me if I was okay or if I needed anything it would be. (…) I love Austin, he’s a really nice person.“If Austin is as nice in life as he is mean in Dunes 2then Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen will be an excellent villain! Dunes 2 should normally be released on November 1, 2023 in cinemas.
