Horizon: Jeff Fahey Joins the Cast of Kevin Costner’s New Western | Cinema

Deadline reports that Jeff Fahey joined the cast of Horizonthe new western directed by Kevin Costner production of which began last month in Utah. The actor will therefore join Isabelle Furhman, Jamie Campbell Bower, Luke Wilson, Jena Malone, Alejandro Edda, Tatanka Means, Michael Rooker, Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington and Thomas Haden Church.

Fahey made her feature film debut in Silverado by Lawrence Kasdan in 1985, later also appearing in White hunter, black heart by Clint Eastwood e The lawnmower by Brett Leonard. More recently, we have seen it in Machete and in Alita: Angel of battle (READ THE REVIEW).

Costner will direct the film (the first of a trilogy, if it goes well), which he wrote with Jon Baird, and will produce it with his Territory Pictures: he financed it out of his own pockets, while New Line Cinema (a division Warner Bros. Discovery) will handle distribution. The actor will then return to directing a film almost twenty years after the success of Borderland – Open Range (2003) which, costing 22 million, grossed nearly 70 million worldwide.

Set at the time of the expansion to the West, Horizon spans over the course of 15 years during the American Civil War. The story centers on a group of settlers making their way across America and the dangers that await them as they search for a more prosperous life.
