House of the Dragon, the star of the series complains about too many sex scenes: “Do we really need it?”

Among the reasons for the success of the series game of Thrones, surely there was the high rate of red light scenes. The swashbuckling show with blood and sex has thrilled millions of people and made itself unique for this very reason, also attracting complaints from its protagonist Emilia Clarke. The prequel House of the Dragon will be outdone? No, apparently.

To reveal it is one of the protagonists of the series that is about to make its debut: Matt Smithformer Doctor and now interpreter of Daemon Targaryen spoke about this aspect of the show during an interview with Rolling Stone. The actor, however, was not particularly enthusiastic about this aspect of House of the Dragon (HERE the trailer).

At some point you find yourself wondering: do we really need another sex scene? – Smith said in the interview – And they say something like ‘Yes, we need it’“. From here, a second reflection: “I think it is worth asking: What are you doing? Are you representing the books, or are you diluting them to represent the current era? And actually I think their job is to show the books as honestly and faithfully as possible, as they are written“.

A major complaint against the creators of the show, who apparently have “forced their hand” even in the new episodes dedicated to the House of Targaryen. When asked if then Daemon will also have many sex scenes in House of the Dragonhe replied: «Yes, too a little too much if you ask me“.

In the same interview, Matt Smith also shrugged on the film’s failure Morbius, in which he plays the part of the villain. In his opinion, it doesn’t matter and we have to overcome it, because in the end “it’s just a movie, we’re not saving lives“. Do you agree with him?

In the meantime, we remind you that House of the Dragon will adapt the volume of George RR Martin titled Fire & Bloodthus bringing to the screen the so-called Dance of the Dragons, the well-known Targaryen fratricidal war fought between the two brothers Aegon II And Rhaenyra following the death of his father for the conquest of the throne. The war will result in the deployment of the great houses – including i Lannister they Stark – in the two factions.

In the cast, in addition to the already mentioned, we will see Emily D’Arcy like Rhaenyra, Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower e Olivia Cooke in those of Alicent Hightower. Steve Toussaint will be Lord Corlys Velaryon, called The Sea Serpent, while Paddy Considine he will play the mighty King Viserys I. Rounding out the cast are Eve Best in the role of Princess Rhaenys Velaryon, Fabien Frankel in the role of Criston Cole e Sonoya Mizuno in that of Mysaria.
