Iga Świątek and Hubert Hurkacz advanced to the tournaments crowning the tennis season, in Guadalajara and Turin, respectively. They both ended the struggle in the group stage, while Christmas was able to defeat the Spanish Paula Badosa 7: 5, 6: 4 at the end. The position in the ATP Finals and WTA Finals did not affect the position of Świątek and Hurkacz in the rankings – they both end in 2021 in ninth positions.

Iga Świątek and Hubert Hurkacz among the top-earning tennis players in 2021

The user “Oleg S.” on Twitter, he prepared a ranking of the highest-earning tennis players in 2021, excluding the struggles in the Billie Jean King Cup and the Davis Cup. The leader among men is Novak Djoković, winner of Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the Australian Open, who together earned 9.1 million dollars. Hubert Hurkacz ranks ninth in this classification with an earnings of USD 2.313 million (about PLN 9.6 million).

Hurkacz earned the most money for one tournament thanks to Wimbledon, where he reached the semi-finals and was eliminated from Matteo Berrettini – about USD 622 thousand, which in Polish currency amounts to PLN 2.5 million. The top three in the ATP ranking in terms of earnings is completed by Daniil Medvedev ($ 7.4 million) and Alexander Zverev, winner of this year’s ATP Finals ($ 6.4 million).

Iga ¦wi ± tek ends 2021 with an earnings of 1.9 million dollars (about 7.9 million zlotys), which gives her the 11th place in the ranking. Swiatek earned the most money during Roland Garros, where she reached the quarter-finals and lost to Maria Sakkari – $ 300,000, or PLN 1.25 million. Among the ladies, Ashleigh Barty ($ 3.9 million) earned the most, but not much less was Barbora Krejcikova ($ 3.6 million), second in this ranking.
