“I am grateful for your support”

Bruce Willis’ recent farewell to the cinema came like a bolt from the blue. The decision to retire was made by the Die Hard actor after a diagnosis of aphasia, a disease that involves the loss of the ability to compose or understand language. Now his wife Emma Heming has also left a comment.

“Your love, support, compassion, all these celebrations really help. I am grateful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart” wrote Heming on his social networks, expressing gratitude to fans who have celebrated the actor’s career since the news broke.

The tributes dedicated to Willis have actually been many, and have involved fans and celebrities. The news of the actor’s retirement came this week from a statement signed by Heming himself, along with Willis’ ex-wife, Demi Moore, and his children Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel and Evelyn.

In this statement, Willis’ entire family confirmed that the actor would step away from the spotlight, leaving acting. “This is a very busy time for our family and we greatly appreciate your continued love, compassion and support.”, they wrote. “We are living this moment as a great family unit and we wanted to involve the fans of him because we know how much he means to you, as well as you to him.”
