Winner of 7 Grammys, Billie Eilish has spoken openly about the problems she faces with her body. In an interview with The Sunday Times, the singer commented that the situation remains “horrific”.
“My relationship with my body has been terrible since I was eleven years old,” he said. “I love that it’s mine and that it goes with me wherever I go. I think my body is my friend. My ugly friend! It’s complicated, but what am I going to do?”.
The artist also said that, due to the problems she faces, she never feels desired. “I have this preoccupation with feeling so undesirable that occasionally I might have tried too hard to be desirable,” added Billie, who is saddened to think about it.
The difficulties began, mainly, after he became the center of attention in 2015, when he released the single “Ocean Eyes”. “I was a little furious that I was known early on in my career for baggy clothes and the way I sing,” she said.
Despite altering her style, for example, at this year’s MET Gala by appearing in a long dress that showed off the volume of her breasts, Billie still feels attacked by the media no matter what.
“If you don’t wear women’s clothes, people humiliate you […] So if you wear something more revealing, they’re like, ‘You’re fat,'” she revealed.
