The massive project, which takes place 14 years after the 2009 blockbuster film, is expected to hit theaters on December 16, 2022.

The actress added: “It will be a very compelling story. Avatar 2 is definitely a step up from the first movie. Get ready because it will be an adventure you won’t easily forget. Saldana also praised Cameron’s underwater technology, which she spent years perfecting for the film.

Avatar 2 also stars the return of Sam Worthington and Sigourney Weaver, along with new cast members Kate Winslet, Vin Diesel, Edie Falco and Cliff Curtis.
