Tommaso Pobega is a bit like the revelation of this start to the Rossoneri’s championship. After having done all the youth training with Il Diavolo and after four years on loan, the Trieste midfielder is grappling with his first real season as a professional with Milan. In an interview with The paperPobega talked about himself from the origins to the objectives.
Origins and Ringhio
Pobega is a boy who has tasted many from the provincial fields, since childhood, in Trieste, when he started in the ranks of the San Luigi when he hit his coach in the face with a ball. Since that moment he has come a long way, also thanks to Rino Gattuso who coached him in the Rossoneri youth teams: “Gattuso was extraordinary for my growth. He treated me from day one as a man. We had a lot of responsibility and it was up to us to show maturity and diligence. I assure you that when he got angry about something it was scary , I remember that no one spoke anymore after his screams, total silence. “And who knows that Pobega will not be able to follow in the footsteps of his former coach: this year he started very well with 7 seasonal appearances and 1 goalexciting, in the Champions League.
Milan, San Siro and Maignan
Having played in AC Milan’s youth sector from an early age, Pobega has a special relationship with San Siro who once looked in admiration while today he runs on the green lawn (and scores goals). “When I enter San Siro I still have the chills today. In the locker room we often hear the fans shouting our names throughout the stadium.” Despite the boundless love for the plant, Tommaso has the clear ideas about the new stage chapter and on what he wants to do with Milan: “It is right for an evolution to take place, let’s look ahead. The goal is the new stadium. I can’t wait to win in the new Milan house, close to our people, for write important pages of this company “. Lastly, Pobega also gave an opinion on his teammates, many of whom are champions to say about him, but one in particular hit him: “I was impressed by Maignan’s potential, he gives the department fundamental security, there are few like him, he’s a NBA type”
