The night in Serie B was full of emotion. This Monday (9th), Sport and Ponte Preta played a great game and drew 3-3 in the 31st round of the second division of Brasileirão held on Retiro Island. Macaca opened the scoring 3-0 in the first half, but León da Ilha gave him a 3-3 draw, leaving Sport three points behind leaders Vitoria and ahead of fifth-placed Atlético GO. remained in second place, two points behind him. Ponte Preta are in 16th place, four points ahead of Chapecoense, the first team in the relegation zone.

Sport started the game with Ponte up top, but left a lot of space in defence. Taking advantage of the counter-attack, the Campinas team converted clear chances and scored two goals in less than four minutes. Eight minutes after scoring his second goal, Ponte scored his third, this time from a penalty.

Sport coach Enderson Moreira, stunned on the field, made changes to his team, removing Ronaldo Enrique and Peglow and replacing them with Diego Souza and Alan Ruiz. It didn’t take long for it to take effect. Wagner Love scored Leon’s first goal in first-half stoppage time, starting the home side’s response.

Shortly after the start of the final stage, Diego Souza tried to ride his bike but stopped in front of goalkeeper Caic França. However, in the 15th minute, Sport won a penalty and Fabricio Daniel scored. This charge was controversial, with Ponte’s players complaining that the striker’s run was stopped. Ten minutes later, Sport equalized. Jorginho took advantage of a defensive lapse to tie the score at 3-3.

Sport will return to the pitch on Monday (16th) in a head-to-head clash with Juventude at the Alfredo Iaconi. Ponte will face Atlético vs. GO on Sunday (15th) at Moises Lucarelli.
