Surgery will take place in the next days
Following tests this morning, it was announced that Gavi had a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee and a resulting lateral meniscus injury.
It was said that the Spanish football player would undergo surgery in the coming days.
Since Gavi made his first-team debut at the age of 17 against Getafe in August 2021, the midfielder has made 111 appearances, 89 of them in the starting 11, scoring seven goals and providing 12 assists.
With Barça, he won the league championship in the 2022/23 season and the Spanish Super Cup in the same season. Gavi also won an individual Golden Boy award in 2022.
