Soon, the new units will also debut in laptops, where the 11th generation Tiger Lake-U and Tiger Lake-H systems currently dominate. In January, at CES 2022, Alder Lake-P processors should debut, which will be offered in 15W, 28W and 45W variants. Intel has finally confirmed the important news regarding the 12th generation for notebooks, thanks to which the January premiere seems to be no longer threatened.
Intel has confirmed the start of mass production of 12th generation Alder Lake-P processors for laptops and shipping chips to partners. Thus, the premiere of processors at the beginning of 2022 seems to be unchallenged.

Intel’s Gregory M Bryant posted an important news on his Twitter regarding Alder Lake-P mobile processors. The manufacturer has started mass production, and new chips are already being shipped to the company’s partners for use in upcoming laptops. We expect a lot of news from this segment during the aforementioned CES in Las Vegas. In recent weeks, we have already informed about four Alder Lake-P systems, which will come primarily to gaming laptops and mobile workstations. I am talking about Intel Core i7-12700H, Core i7-12800H, Core i9-12900H and Core i9-12900HK processors.

Intel Core i7-12700H tested in the MSI GE76 Raider laptop – how does Alder Lake-P fare against the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX?
The new generation of Alder Lake-P processors for laptops will use a hybrid design, similar to desktop units. In the case of mobile systems, we will get a maximum of 6 Performance cores and 8 Efficient cores. In addition, in mid-2022, Alder Lake-S BGA systems will appear, which are desktop units transferred to a BGA type chassis. With a higher TDP, they will offer a total of 16 cores (8x Performance, 8x Efficient).
