The team of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had to face defeat at the hands of Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the match played on Sunday evening. This is the team’s third consecutive defeat in the 15th season of IPL. Batting first, Punjab had given a target of 181 runs to Chennai, but Chennai’s team was all out for just 126 runs while chasing the target. In this match, Chennai captain Ravindra Jadeja could not even open his account. Apart from him, other batsmen also performed disappointingly. Shivam Dubey scored the highest 57 runs for Chennai. While Dhoni played an innings of 23 runs.
After losing the match, captain Ravindra Jadeja looked disappointed and blamed the flop show of the batsmen for the defeat and talked about supporting the young players continuously. Jadeja praised Shivam Dubey’s half-century innings. Ravindra Jadeja said, “We lost a lot of wickets in the powerplay, we didn’t get the momentum from the first ball. We need to find a way to get better and get stronger.” Regarding Rituraj Gaikwad, who flopped in three consecutive matches, Jadeja said, “We need to give him confidence, we need to support him. We all know he is a very good player. We will definitely support him.” And I am sure he will do well.”
The Chennai captain said on young Shivam Dubey’s blistering 30-ball 57, “He is batting very well. He batted well today, which will be important to keep in a good frame of mind. We will definitely have our side.” Will try my best, work hard and come back stronger.” CSK are at the ninth position in the points table after their third consecutive loss of the season. Chennai will play the next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on 9 April at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
