After the match, former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja was very angry with this attitude of Dhoni. Talking in a Cricbuzz show, he said that if you have appointed someone as the new captain and despite this you are taking all the decisions in the match yourself, then it is wrong.
Jadeja said, “There would have been a big match and during that time, if you go ahead and take decisions, it would not have been a problem, but in the initial matches of the league itself, Ravindra is standing on one side and you are taking the decisions, then it is not right.”
Former wicketkeeper-batsman Parthiv Patel also expressed displeasure over Dhoni’s move. “If you yourself have given up the captaincy, then let Jadeja take decisions, let him learn, then only he will be able to do better,” he said.
After the match, Ravindra Jadeja while talking about the loss said, “Our batting was good but we were weak in fielding, we dropped catches due to which we lost the match.”
