The new timetables for the limited traffic areas on the territory of the Municipality of Ischia have started. After the activation of the LTZ last April, with the advance of the tourist season, the traffic and pedestrian influx increased, especially during the weekend, and consequently it was necessary to increase the control of transits also in order to reduce the entrances. of vehicles to the areas of the city center with extension of the activation time of the LTZ. Consequently, the Command of the Municipal Police of Ischia, referring to the provision on surveillance of 8 April 2010 by the Guarantor for the protection of personal data which governs the methods of use of electronic devices for the detection of violations of the Highway Code , and the regulation of Presidential Decree 250/99 relating to the authorization to install systems for detecting vehicle access in historic centers and restricted traffic areas, has issued a new ordinance according to which, starting from May 31 and until further notice, new timetables. For ztl 4 (via delle Terme – intersection via Alfredo De Luca), ztl 5 (via E. Cortese entrance from Piazza degli Eroi), and ztl 6 (Corso Vittoria Colonna intersection via Francesco Sogliuzzo), they will be in force from Monday on Sundays from 10.30 to 13.00 and from 17.00 to 23.00. Instead, the ztl 7 (via Seminario Ischia Ponte) and the ztl 8 (via GB Vico crossing via Nuova Cartaromana) will be in force from Monday to Friday from 17.00 to 23.00, while Saturday, Sunday and midweek holidays the times of validity will be from 11.00 to 13.00 and from 17.00 to 23.00. The exceptions provided for by the previous provisions will remain unchanged, even if the Municipal Police Command reserves the right to adopt any other provision of a contingent nature deemed necessary for the discipline and safety of vehicular and pedestrian traffic through temporary suspension of the ztl gates.
