in the conversation with the QA, Fat spoke of beats inspired by Casa, Lar who were a strong presence on the last album by Drake. “There’s always been this weird thing about the dance world, where most of the DJs are white,” the producer told the magazine. “But we all know how house music back in Chicago and Detroit, it comes from the black community and the gay community.”

“We started, and now, you know, all the biggest stars and DJs in the entire world, most of them, are white,” he continued. About the sound as a whole, Gordo explained: “Me and Drake we are tired of sad or angry music. We want to make people dance and have fun.”
The producer also spoke of “sticky,” the seventh track on the album he produced, and said he thought of the crash for the first time on the plane. “I sent a message to [Drake], and when he answered at 4 pm I was already in the kitchen of his house. I played the beat and he was like, ‘Wow.'”
